NEW LEARNING

We'd like to share some of the learning journey our pupils have been experiencing this term.

Class 1 and Pre-school

Our young geographers have been diving into comparative studies between Wetwang and the vibrant, bustling metropolis of Rio de Janeiro, exploring the differences between life inb Brazil and in the U.K.

The children are learning about different continents and oceans in Geography and experiencing the colourful and immersive world of carnivals through art, music and dance.

Class 3

In Art, pupils have been investigating the differences between the Impressionist Movement (1870s - 1880s) of everyday life, landscapes and outdoor scenes and the Post-Impressionist Movement (1880s - 1905) of still lifes, portraits and lanscapes - but with deeper meaning.

In Science, children have been learning about states of matter, conducting engaging experiments that transform their understanding of how substances change, melt, freeze, and interact.

Writing and reading continue to be cornerstones of our school with pupils tackling every more complex texts, finding meaning in new vocabulary and practising spelling and grammar which is then applied in carefully crafted written work.

Every day, we are inspired by the enthusiasm and curiosity of our pupils.

We learn how to 'Design - Make - Evaluate.'

REMEMBRANCE

The children and staff observed Remembrance Day in the church yard at St Nicholas Church. It was a profound moment of collective reflection.

We are immensely proud of our pupils who demonstrated exceptional respect and understanding.

Our heartfelt thanks extend to all who contributed to this meaningful commemoration and for your donations to the Royal British Legion. Thank you.

'We will remember them.'
