As we enjoy the fall season, I encourage all families to make reading together a daily priority. Take time to read with your child, ask questions about what they are reading, and discuss what they are learning in school. Building strong reading comprehension skills is a major focus at Cole Manor. We are committed to ensuring that all students can read, comprehend grade-level texts, and develop the math skills necessary for success. Your partnership is essential in helping every student reach their highest potential.
Thank you for being such an important part of the Cole Manor community. I look forward to seeing many of you at our upcoming events!

MEASLES FACTS
Symptoms can include a high fever, a runny nose, a cough, red water eyes, and a rash (usually does not start until approximately 3-5 days after other symptoms start).
- A person with measles is contagious 4 days before their rash starts and until 4 days after the rash starts.
- According to the Centers for Disease Control Statistics, 1 of every 5 people with measles will be hospitalized (The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2026).
- The measles virus can live in the air for 2 hours after the person with measles has left the room.
- When an adult or child receives both measles vaccines, they are 97% protected against getting the measles virus.
- According to current statistics, the measles virus is 12 times more contagious than the flu and twice as contagious as COVID-19 (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2026).
- The best protection against the measles virus is to receive the vaccines to prevent a person from getting it.
