Hello, Cheer Families!

We’re excited to have our PasadenaLEARNs cheerleaders participate in the Latino Heritage Parade! Please review the details below so your student arrives ready to cheer, march, and celebrate with their team.

Please arrive on time and look for your student’s coach when you get there. Make sure your student has checked in with their coach before leaving.

Parking will be very limited because of street closures. Please allow extra time and plan your route in advance.

There is no shuttle back to the Madison Avenue drop-off area. We recommend dropping off your student and then heading toward the parade ending area near Euclid Avenue and Union Street to find parking.

Parents/guardians must meet their children at Euclid Avenue and Union Street. Please find your student’s coach and complete sign-out before leaving with your child.

• White tennis shoes and white socks

• Your coach will provide your student’s uniform and poms.

• Students will wear flowers in their hair. If possible, please style their hair in a high ponytail or bun so the flowers can be secured.

Please apply sunscreen before arrival and have students arrive ready to participate.

Please make sure your student eats before drop-off so they have energy for the afternoon.

Water will be provided. Students do not need to bring water bottles.

Please leave sweaters, backpacks, valuables, and unnecessary personal items at home. Students will need their hands free for their poms while cheering and marching.

Parents/guardians may NOT walk in the street with the cheer team. Please remain on the sidewalk. Anyone walking alongside the team in the street will be asked to return to the sidewalk.

• Students should stay with their team and follow their coach’s directions throughout the event.

• Please plan for your student to participate in the full parade and be picked up at the end of the parade route.

• Before leaving with your student, you must sign them out through 6crickets with their coach.

• If your student can no longer attend, please notify their coach.
