Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Guardians,

This week, our students will be participating in MAP Growth testing. MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) is a computerized adaptive assessment that measures your child’s knowledge of reading and math. All students are asked the same number of questions, but the difficulty of each question is based on how well a student answers all the previous questions. As the student answers correctly, questions become more difficult. If the student answers incorrectly, the questions become easier and then become progressively more challenging. This enables the assessment to precisely identify the full spectrum of a student’s strengths and weaknesses. MAP tests are aligned to the national Common Core Standards. These assessments help us better understand each child’s learning progress and provide teachers with valuable information to guide instruction. Please help your child be ready to do their best by ensuring they get plenty of rest, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive at school on time.

We are also looking forward to our Title I Family Night on Thursday, August 28th. This special evening is designed to bring families and staff together to celebrate learning, share resources, and provide strategies you can use at home to support your child’s growth. We hope you will join us for an engaging night filled with activities, information, and fun.

Thank you for your continued partnership in your child’s education. Your support at home and involvement at school make a tremendous difference!

Warm regards,

Will Zwingmann, Ed.S.

Principal
