Toys in School
Please do not allow your child to bring toys to school. This includes stuffies and toys hanging on backpacks that students take off during the school day. These toys become a distraction to learning in the classroom and often cause conflict between classmates. Thank you for your understanding!
Jackets and Sweatshirts
Reminder: All jackets and sweatshirts must be plain with no words, designs, or characters unless it is a Trafalgar sweatshirt. We have begun to see a few Spiderman and other characters on sweatshirts. Your child will be asked to turn the clothing inside out if it is worn to school. Thank you for helping support our dress code and keeping our students focused on learning! See below to purchase a Trafalgar sweatshirt.
Please Check Your FOCUS Portal! 🙂
PLEASE UPDATE ALL HEALTH CONSENT FORMS IN FOCUS!
THE CLINIC IS NOT ABLE TO ADDRESS YOUR CHILD'S NEEDS WITHOUT ALL FORMS COMPLETED
Your FOCUS portal is the key to student information.
Please check your FOCUS account often. If you have not already so, please locate the green bar directing you to fill out important school forms regarding clinic, photographing students, etc. These forms can be completed at any time, are a district requirement. Once forms are complete, you will have access to student grades and all information added to the FOCUS portal. Interims will be published in the portal soon, so we want you to be able to access your student's grades. If you do not yet have a FOCUS account or have difficulty, please contact Cammy Gibson in the Trafalgar office. She is always eager to help. Also remember to update your FOCUS portal with new phone numbers and addresses whenever you make changes to your contact information. See below for information!

Parent Drop Off and Pick Up Car Line Information
Information and helpful tips:
- Please be sure your child is ready to get out of the car as you pull up to the school. Encourage your child to put tablets and toys away and get ready to unbuckle as you approach the teachers waiting in the line. Older children are encouraged to open their car doors. Thanks for your help in keeping the line moving.
- Please be sure you have your child exit and enter on the passenger side of the car. It is dangerous for students to walk around the back of the cars to enter or exit.
- Parents please do not exit the car in the pick up line. If your child is not waiting at the cone for you to arrive, please tell one of the teachers and move forward to the grassy area. A teacher will assist you.
- Please do not leave gaps in the line in order to find shade while waiting.
- Please refrain from making U turns in front of the school entrance and cutting off other cars that have been waiting in the desired direction.
- Remember to be kind to our school neighbors and not block private driveways.
- Please follow established traffic patterns and drive forward as far as possible when dropping off your student.
- Students will be assisted as they leave the car and will walk on the inside sidewalk area to the breezeway to enter the school.
- We begin moving the car line at 8:15 daily, and students may walk to class beginning at 8:20.
- Students are to be in class by 8:40am. Please be on campus prior to 8:40 in order for your child to be on time. If there is no line on the street (20th Avenue) and your car enters the gate after 8:40am, your child will be marked tardy and you will be asked to walk in the office and sign your child in.
- During pick up/dismissal please have your parent pick up car tag visible until your child enters the car. (These were passed out at Open House. Additional tags can be purchased in the school office for $3.) If you do not have your car tag when picking up your student, you will be asked to park and walk inside to have your ID checked. Please help us by following this process, and do not rely on our parent pick up dismissal teachers to remember names and student numbers. Pictures of the car tag are not acceptable.
- All parents please stay in the pick up line in your vehicle. With the exception of PreK students and examples below, parking and walking up to drop off or pick up students is not permitted for AM drop off or PM pick up.
- Example of permitted walk up to office: Clinic visit to drop off medicine or a new to school student.
- Example of non-permitted walk up: Food brought to the office. Please have students carry or arrange for these types of drop offs to be when it is not student arrival or dismissal time.
- If you plan to change your child's transportation on any day, please write a note in your child's planner and email darleneam@leeschools.net
We understand the lines may be long as all students and families learn the routines and ask for your patience and cooperation! Thank you!
Reminder: Cell Phone Use is NOT Permitted in Parent Pick Up Lines!
PreK Families Please Note Procedures!
PreKindergarten Parent Morning Drop off Procedures
Please be advised we have specific procedures for PreK morning drop off. PreK families will park in one of the 4 designated spaces in the second row of the front parking lot (See picture to right). The spaces face 20th Avenue. Parents will park and walk their PreK child across the crosswalk to the breezeway entrance of the school where they will be met by a paraprofessional. The paraprofessional will walk the PreK student to class. Trafalgar employees are not permitted to take your child out of the car, but we can assist in walking the student to class once he/she is out of the car. *Special note: This procedure is only for Prek K Schneck and Vergez students. All other students will use the parent drop off line and will be assisted as needed unless a special exception has been made by the teacher and communicated to administration.
PreKindergarten Parent Dismissal/ Pick Up Procedures
PreK students are to be picked up at dismissal in the three spaces along the front of the school to the right (See Picture to right). These spaces are for PreK students only and are to be used for afternoon dismissal only. Using this space for morning drop off is potentially dangerous for our students and drivers. PreK parents using parent pick up lanes, please check with the teacher to determine the time you will need to be there. Thank you for understanding as we seek to address our safety concerns.
Walker Letters
Please complete form and return to school if your child is a walker.
Forms are also available in the school office.
Remember the car line is a great opportunity to display a positive and friendly attitude to our children and all neighborhood drivers! Thank you for setting an excellent example!
