Principal's Weekly Update

Dear Wildcat Families,

When we return from winter break on January 5th, our PE teachers will be requiring that students change out for PE in the locker rooms. Uniform ordering information is linked below. Students will need a lock for their locker. Locks will be for sale for $5 (cash only) in the main office all week as a last chance before the PE changing policy goes into effect in January 2026!

There is NO school this Friday, December 19th. Final semester grades will be available in Aeries by December 22nd and will be mailed home by the district office.

Check out the newsletter below for information on ALL the events happening this week, including our first set of basketball home games and the BGW family night at Dave & Buster's this Tuesday - we hope to see you there!

PE shorts (black)

Students can also alternatively use/wear a plain gray shirt/sweatshirt and/or plain black shorts/sweatpants. NO logos permitted.

The PE department will begin requiring that students change into uniforms in January upon our return from winter break.

BGW School Calendar

BGW Spelling Bee

Calling all super spellers! It is time to begin preparing for our second annual spelling bee! This event will take place on Tuesday, January 27th: the top two finalists will have the opportunity to compete in the district wide spelling bee and will receive a medal. This is a great opportunity to compete academically and to further develop your literacy skills. Interested students are to stop by room 20 to register and to pick up a practice packet from Mrs. Latini.

Battle of the Books

Do you love to read? Do you love to compete? Well then, Battle of the Books is the perfect opportunity for you! At the middle school level, schools form teams that will work together to read the same books then compete against other schools in a trivia competition. Please visit the BGW student Google Classroom to register, or see Mrs. Latini in room 20 for more information. You can check out our first two books right away, so that you can start reading over break if you’d like. Our first official meeting will be in January.

Library Donations 🃏🎲

Our library staff members are striving to create non-tech activity options for students before school and during lunch. They have created a game/craft cart and would love to add more hands-on items. Check out the library's wishlist below!
