Galax HighSchoolStudent of the Month: January

Join us as we Celebrate Our Students! Join us as we Celebrate Our Students!

We are excited to begin a new tradition at GHS; Student of the Month. Every month, teachers from each department will select students to honor with this recognition. This year, we are placing an emphasis on the character traits:

  • Focus
  • Perseverance
  • Attitude
  • Kindness
  • Belief

These character traits are a focal point of the video (linked below) that both students and staff watched at the beginning of the school year. You may recognize it from the Tide Times Family Newsletter as well.

The students of the month are proudly displayed in our commons area. Please join us in congratulating our November students of the month.

Adilynn probably took the most interest of any of my students last semester in Anatomy & Physiology. She always participated, asked lots of questions and worked diligently and carefully on all dissections. She was an excellent role model for other students in the class. Her active interest in the subject was excellent and helped her to earn an "A" in the class.
