Holliman Hornets Family Newsletter
Volume 6.1 August 24 , 2026
WELCOME TO THE 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR!
Principal's Message
Dear Holliman Families and Community,
The 2026-2027 school year is already off to a great start! On August 17th Holliman was honored as one of Rhode Island's top 5 elementary schools in reducing chronic absenteeism through the state's Attendance Matters campaign! I could not be more proud to lead a school community that values student attendance. Our entire school community is to thank for creating a learning environment where all students want to come to school.
This school year will continue to focus on strengthening teaching & learning and climate & culture. We are dedicated to ensuring that all students reach their academic and social emotional potential.
I am going to make every effort to keep families up to date with all of the great things that are happening at Holliman. Though I will continue to send out weekly newsletters, we will be relying more on our very user friendly website; holliman.warwickschools.org. All News, Live Feed Announcements, and Event dates can be found on our home page.
I cannot wait to kick off our school year with our annual Open House which is scheduled for Thursday, August 27th 4:00pm - 6:00pm!
Sincerely,
Dr. Cabana, Principal

Though all schedules and classroom assignments have begun to post on Aspen, we have been making updates as new students enter and programming adjustments are made. Please check Aspen frequently before the first day of school. I am asking that families please hold off on requesting a change to their child's classroom. Class lists were created in June with a great deal of consideration.
Please email our secretary, Miss Ann, ann.palumbo@warwickschools.org for assistance with a password change.
Miss Ann is not able to add or remove information such as phone numbers and addresses.
*Access to Aspen may still be down at the time of this newsletter's publishing date. I will send a notification as soon as access has been restored.
