Kindergarten Information Night
You're Invited! Wednesday, May 28th at 6:30pm
Dear Kindergarten Parents,
We are excited to partner with you as your child begins their kindergarten journey in the 2025-2026 school year. Whether your child is enrolled in full-day, half-day, or the dual language program, this is a significant milestone, and we’re here to support you every step of the way.
At last night’s Board of Education meeting, I shared updates about the upcoming school year, and I’m pleased to personally invite you to our Kindergarten Parent Information Night in May. Details are included below.
Kindergarten Parent Information Night – For Parents Only
Wednesday, May 28 at 6:30 PM
Hadley Jr. High School – 240 Hawthorne Blvd, Glen Ellyn
Spanish and Urdu interpreters will be available during the orientation.
This district-wide orientation is designed just for parents and guardians. It’s a great opportunity to connect with school leaders, meet other incoming kindergarten families, and learn what to expect in the year ahead.
You’ll receive key information about:
Daily kindergarten schedule
Health and medical updates
Kindergarten readiness skills
Purposeful play and social-emotional learning
PTA involvement and school community connections
The screening process
Transportation and AM/PM updates for Abraham Lincoln and Benjamin Franklin
How and when you'll find out your child’s teacher
Who to contact with questions
Please note: This event replaces the previous Kindergarten Round-Up or Open House.
If you're unable to attend, don’t worry - we will email a summary of the information to families on May 29.
Thank you for being an important part of your child’s start in District 41. We look forward to seeing you on May 28 and to a great year ahead in kindergarten!
Best,
Jeff McHugh
