📆 This Week at a Glance
We’re heading into another busy week at BAS! This week, our students will be completing MAP Testing. Please help your child do their best by making sure they get a good night’s rest, eat a good breakfast, and arrive at school on time each day. Most importantly, remind them that MAP testing is simply an opportunity to show what they know and how much they’ve grown!
Also, be on the lookout for BAS Spirit Shirt order forms coming home with your student. Please complete and return these as soon as possible, and don’t forget to include your child’s T-shirt size!
We’re excited that every BAS student will receive a FREE “His Story, Our Joy” theme shirt this year! 💚 Parents can get one too! Simply include your size on the order form and $12 per additional shirt.
Our Bobcat athletes are also hard at work! ⚽🏐 Soccer and volleyball practices continue this week as our teams prepare for their first games of the season after Labor Day. We’re excited to see our Bobcats hit the field and court!
Have a great week, Bobcats! 🐾

💙 Parent Partnership: Taking the Pressure Off Testing
With MAP Testing happening this week, it’s a great time to remind our students that a test score does not define who they are or how smart they are. MAP is simply one tool that helps teachers see what students already know, where they’ve grown, and what they’re ready to learn next.
Parents can help by keeping the conversation positive and low-pressure. Instead of asking, “What score did you get?” try asking, “Did you do your best?” or “Was there anything you felt really confident about?”
A good night’s sleep, a healthy breakfast, arriving on time, and a little encouragement can make a big difference. Remind your child to slow down, read carefully, and give each question their best effort—even when the work gets challenging.
Most of all, celebrate effort and growth. Every child learns at a different pace, and MAP gives us another piece of information to help us meet them where they are and continue moving them forward.
This week’s message for our Bobcats: Do your best, don’t stress, and keep growing! 🐾
