Count Day Information - October 7th, 2026 Count Day Information - October 7th, 2026

Wednesday, October 7th, is our official fall student Count Day. This is an important day for Fraser Public Schools, as our state revenue is based on our Wednesday’s enrollment number. While there are procedures we can follow that allow us to count students who must be absent on that day, we encourage families to make every effort for students to be present in school. If your student is unable to attend school October 7th, please call in the absence to our attendance office at (586) 439-7292.

FHS Student Spectator Expectations FHS Student Spectator Expectations

1. Spectators must sit in the designated HOME/AWAY Bleachers

2. At NO time is it appropriate for SPECTATORS/STUDENTS to call out/chant opposing players names or numbers or yell at officials during the game. Spectators will be removed from the contest if necessary.

3. STUDENTS are to remain in the bleachers (not permitted to stand or sit on the floor) when cheering during an event/contest.

4. SPECTATORS will be removed from the facility if they interfere with the play of the game/officials/coaches/players or school personnel.

5. FHS Students must scan into all games with their student ID and must meet attendance requirements (3 or less tardies in a week) to enter the game at no charge. If a student scans red they must pay to enter.

6. Richards Middle School students need to present their student ID at the ticket table for Entry and be accompanied by a parent in order to enter the facility.

7. SPECTATORS may not bring outside food or drinks into the school or stadium.

8. Students may not bring backpacks into the contests.

9. No outside balls or noise makers that are not pre-approved by administration

14. Students not representing schools competing in that day's contest will not be permitted into the Fraser HS/MS athletic facilities.

15. Spectators are to exhibit Sportsmanship at all time, cheer positively and support all those individuals involved in the event you are attending.

16. Respect all Officials at all times as the number of officials available is declining. Don't be a reason why an official will not work a Fraser event in the future.

As always, the safety of our staff, students, and families remains our top priority. These additional measures will support our students in making good choices and create a safe environment for all to enjoy the event.

We encourage our families to take advantage of these athletic events. We can come together with our school community and reconnect with family and friends. Fraser is a special place and our athletic events allow our community to celebrate the rich history and tradition of our schools. These updated safety and support guidelines will be used for all Fraser High School indoor athletic events moving forward.

Fraser High School Drop off and Pickup Fraser High School Drop off and Pickup

Hello Fraser Families:

As we look forward to another school year, please take a moment to review the process that we have in place for traffic flow in our parking lots, so that everyone can enter and exit as quickly and efficiently as possible.

  • If you live in our bussing area, please have your child take the bus.
  • If you need to drop your student off, please try to do so before 7:10. There is very little waiting at that time.
  • Please use the Klein Road parking lot for drop off. This parking lot is usually much less congested.
  • If you use the Garfield parking lot, please pull to the curb to drop your child off, and then proceed down past the main entrance before turning left to get in line to exit. Please do not use the parking lanes before the main entrance to enter the exit line.

I know that waiting in line can be frustrating, but if we all work together and follow the above expectations, the process should be better for everyone.

Thank you for your help and support.

Exploring Careers. Building Futures.

Manufacturing Week 2026

Manufacturing Week provided Fraser High School students with exciting opportunities to explore careers, connect with industry professionals, and experience the world of manufacturing firsthand!

Students in grades 9–12 visited local businesses and toured facilities to learn about career pathways, workplace environments, advanced technologies, and opportunities in manufacturing, engineering, automation, cybersecurity, and skilled trades.

Throughout the week, students had the opportunity to visit:

  • Fori Automation
  • IF Metalworks
  • Deluxe Technologies
  • HTI Cybernetics
  • Paslin
  • BAE Systems

These experiences allowed students to see how classroom learning connects to real-world careers, ask questions of industry professionals, and gain valuable insight into the skills, education, and training needed for success in today's workforce.

A special thank you to our industry partners for welcoming Fraser students, sharing their expertise, and helping us connect education to future career opportunities!

Tribal Affiliation Tribal Affiliation

In Michigan, schools are required to collect certain student information, such as enrollment, demographics, and program participation, and share it with the Michigan Department of Education. This process is required by state and federal law and helps monitor publicly funded education programs.

A new rule in the State School Aid Act now requires schools to also collect information about students’ tribal affiliations. This change was developed with input from Tribal Nations in Michigan.

Starting this school year, families have the option to share tribal affiliation information. Sharing this information is completely voluntary.

The data will help strengthen communication with Tribal Nations and may allow schools to qualify for additional funding to better support Indigenous students.

If a family chooses to share this information, it will be protected under privacy laws such as FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act), which also prohibits discrimination.

If you would like to report your tribal affiliation, please complete this form by October 7. (Link: https://fraserk12.jotform.com/252335442152853)
