Team Ruru have had a fantastic week, whether they have been at Totara Springs as part of our Winter Olympics team, or participating in Stanley Olympics undertaking different challenges each day, culminating in a trip to Hamilton for the Spiderman movie and Ninja Valley.

We will keep you posted with more details of the teams amazing time at Totara Springs. Thank you to the Teachers and parents who have supported our students so well this week.

Thank you also to Whaea Adreena, and the Ruru teachers for putting an amazing programme together for our Stanley olympics team and the parent helpers who have helped out with transport.

Keep an eye out for photos of the week that was!!!

Team Tui had so much fun with the Japanese students from Ichimura Junior High School on Tuesday. Rooms 4, 13 and 5 made origami, played Japanese games and Room 5 even shared their Daffodil Day play with their students. It was a great opportunity to learn about a different culture and show our Stanley Ave manakitanga!

Check out our amazing school, decked out in yellow to support such a wonderful cause.

The NZ Cancer society says that 1 in 3 New Zealanders will get cancer in their lifetime and sadly most of us know someone who has been affected in some way.

We are so proud to have raised $300.00 today from our gold coin collection, and will donate this to the NZ Cancer Society to 'give back and change lives'.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to support our Yellow Day fundraiser!

During Friendship Zone, lots of fun was had coloring daffodils and playing with the Barbies. A great way to spend a Friday lunchtime.

Our Sports Shirts are available through Directgroup Uniforms and are available to purchase now. This is a great option as you can have a name printed directly on the shirt (Surnames are a great idea as these can be handed down to younger siblings) and will save a lot of time issuing and collecting sports shirts. At this time we still have our other sports shirts for anyone that is playing and has not purchased their own yet. Check them out at:

https://dgstore.co.nz/collections/stanley-avenue-school

You can purchase the sport shirts and they arrive directly to your address and they even have Afterpay so that it makes it possible to budget.

Rapid Rockstar Music Academy offers structured music lessons in guitar, drums, bass, and ukulele during school hours.
