We know Halloween is such a fun and exciting time of year, and many of our middle schoolers are looking forward to celebrating! As a quick reminder for families, Cimarron does not allow students to wear Halloween costumes, face paint, or masks to school.

We want to ensure our focus remains on learning and keeping our school day running smoothly without extra distractions or lost costume pieces. Thank you so much for your understanding and for helping us keep our daily routines intact while students celebrate outside of school hours!

With the cold weather just around the corner, please review the district guidelines when calling school delays or closures due to weather. Please note the school start time at Cimarron in the event of weather delay:

• If a delay is called, school STARTS at 9:25 AM for any day of the week

• Weather Delays on Fridays- If a 90 minute delayed start is called on a Friday due to inclement weather, that day's PLC time for staff will be canceled. The inclement weather delay means school at Cimarron will start at 9:25, just like any other delay day. There here would not be any additional delay for PLC time.

In an effort to show our appreciation for our outstanding staff, we are launching an initiative to provide them with tokens of gratitude throughout the year. These tokens, though small, carry a significant impact in letting our staff know that their hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed. To achieve this, we have created an Amazon Wish List filled with a variety of small thank-you gifts that our staff members would greatly appreciate. These gifts will be given out as tokens of appreciation to those who consistently go the extra mile for our students.

We need gift cards! Please support our students by bringing in $5 gift cards to vendors like Chipotle, Target, Fika, McDonalds, Starbucks, Canes, Five Below, etc. You can drop off your donations in the main office. These gift cards go to students who are displaying great behavior and working hard! Thanks!

If you know of any families that are interested in having their student join the Cimarron community for the 27-28 school year, the first open enrollment window starts November 2nd.

The first round window is open from 8:00 a.m., November 2, 2026, to 4:00 p.m., December 1, 2026.
