Law Enforcement Training Exercise on October 26

We would like to share some information with you about an all-day law enforcement training exercise that will take place on Thursday, October 26, at Children’s Health Stadium on Frontier Parkway and the new Central Fire Station in Prosper.

The Prosper ISD Police Department and the Town of Prosper will host one of five statewide law enforcement training exercises. These exercises will be held at Children’s Health Stadium and the new Central Fire Station. Passers-by will notice a heavy law enforcement presence from multiple federal, state, and local agencies. Helicopters may also be used as a part of the training. Some detours may be set up near these locations. The training exercises will occur between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and pose no threat to the public.

Children’s Health Stadium will be closed to the public during this training activity. Access to the Natatorium will still be available; however, routes in and out of the stadium may be limited. Please follow all traffic signs. On the day of this training exercise, Texas Department of Public Safety officers will be assigned to Prosper ISD campuses to support our staff and students.

This is just one of several training exercises each year for the Prosper ISD Police Department as part of the ongoing training of our police officers. Since 2018, The Prosper ISD Board of Trustees has committed to hiring at least one T-COLE-certified officer at every campus to provide an additional adult committed to the safety and security of our schools.
