Monk Fryston Newsletter 22.10.26
Dear parents and carers,
What a great half term we have had at our school! A huge thank you to our fantastic PTA for organising the fantastic school disco this week. It was wonderful to see the children having so much fun, dancing with their friends and enjoying a fun evening together. We are incredibly grateful to our PTA for all the time and effort they put into creating these opportunities for our children.
It was also lovely to welcome so many parents and families to our Harvest Festival today. The children did a wonderful job sharing their songs, readings and reflections, and I hope you enjoyed celebrating this special occasion with us. Thank you for joining us and for your generous donations of food.
We have lots to look forward to when we return after half term. Thanks to the generosity of parents and carers at recent fundraising events, the PTA are able to fund forest school sessions for each class before Christmas, which will be led my Siobhan Bamforth, who runs Treetops Forest Schools. Children will do two further full days, one in the spring term and one in the summer term. There will be also be lots of festive fun in the coming weeks with parties, performances and church services. It won't be long until the corridors are filled with the sound of Christmas songs, and we are all sparkling in glitter!
It has been an absolute pleasure getting to know the staff and children since I started here, and it has been great to speak to so many of you over the last few weeks. Thank you for being so welcoming and supportive.
Have a lovely half term.
