June 22: Lunch on the Land
Our school will celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day on Monday, June 22.
Morning Activities
Students will participate in traditional Indigenous outdoor games that build understanding through play and shared experience. Please ensure your child is dressed for the weather and brings sunscreen, bug spray, a hat, and a water bottle.
Note: These events are for students only; volunteers are not required.
Lunch on the Land – Families Welcome at 12:04 to 1:04 p.m.
Families are invited to join us for Lunch on the Land. You may pick up your child from their classroom and head outside to eat together.
Note: Students whose families are unable to attend will enjoy lunch with their class and teacher. In case of poor weather or air quality, lunch will move inside. Please bring a blanket or chairs to sit on.
We look forward to celebrating this special day as a school community!
Grade 6: Celebration of Learning
Event Information
We are excited to invite Grade 6 families to join us in the school gym on Monday, June 22 at 1:30 p.m. for a special celebration of your child’s learning journey and achievements in elementary school. This farewell marks an important milestone as our Grade 6 students get ready to take their next steps into junior high. We look forward to celebrating this moment together with you! Note: If students would like to dress up for the event, they are welcome to do so. As we have our Lunch on the Land activities in the morning, students will have time to change after lunch before the farewell begins.
Lost and Found
Please take a moment to stop by the school and check out our overflowing Lost & Found tables! There are many items waiting to be reunited with their owners. Any unclaimed items will be donated before the last day of school, so be sure to have a look before they're gone.

We invite our students and families to our Meet the Staff and Unpack your Backpack Event on Thursday, August 27, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. This event takes place the evening before school starts so that students and families can locate classrooms, drop off school supplies, and say hello to their teacher.
Families will receive a School Messenger notification in the morning on Thursday, August 27 with information about their child’s teacher and classroom location. We look forward to welcoming students a day early and giving them a sneak peek of their classroom!
If you are unable to attend on August 27, families are welcome to accompany their child(ren) to their classroom on the first day of classes.
