Holy Rosary
NEWSLETTER | TERM 3| WEEK 9| 19TH SEPT 2025
Dear Jesus,
We ask for your blessing on our school community
Encircle us with your love and care
Let our love for others guide our thoughts and actions
Help Holy Rosary to be a place of sound learning and new discoveries
Grant that those who belong, those who teach and those who learn will,
like St Dominic, find you to be a source of truth to be shared with all those we meet.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord
Amen
Dear Parents’, Friends, Guardians and Staff,
Celebrating the Performing Arts at Holy Rosary:
Congratulations to all the students who took part in our recent Performing Arts Assembly - it was a truly joyful and inspiring showcase of talent, creativity, and teamwork!
We were treated to a vibrant variety of performances, including: Drum Beat, Dominican Dance Group and Holy Roly Stones. Individual performances from Xavier Tan and Leo Mak, who both showed great courage and skill in sharing their talents with the school community.
A heartfelt thank you to the dedicated staff who made this event possible: Mrs Kirwan, Miss Vivante, Miss Cornwall, Miss O’Neill, and Miss Bath. Your guidance and encouragement helped our students shine.
We’re also looking forward to tonight’s P & F Wild West Function - a wonderful opportunity for adults to come together and celebrate as a community. The gym is looking amazing, see you there.
Over three days next week, I will be participating in a School Improvement Review Panel at another Catholic school, and I’m confident that Holy Rosary will be in the safe and capable hands of Mr Kinder and Miss Dwyer during this time.
Thank you for your support in increasing supervision of your children after school and respecting our parish’s request not to play in their sacred areas.
Have a great weekend.
Warm regards,
Michael O'Dwyer
Principal

✨ Year 2 Excursion ✨
This week our Year 2 students had an amazing adventure at Optus Stadium! 🏟️🙌 They crossed the Matagarup Bridge, explored behind the scenes on a full guided tour, visited the players’ change rooms, and even stood in the very spaces used by the West Coast Eagles 🦅 and Fremantle Dockers ⚓️!
It was such a fun day filled with learning, laughter and unforgettable memories. 💙🤍
Health Notices for Our School Community
This week, we’ve seen confirmed cases of Influenza A & B and RSV, along with many children experiencing symptoms such as sore throats, dizziness, and stomach aches.
To help prevent the spread of illness, the Boorloo Public Health Unit strongly recommends practicing good hand hygiene and proper cough etiquette. They also advise that children who are unwell stay home to rest and recover.
Thank you for your continued support in keeping our community healthy.

Thank you Holy Rosary Community for your generous donations for the Vinnies pantry appeal. In Term 4, our Year 6 Christian Service Council Group will be collecting for the Vinnies Christmas Appeal.
This month’s Friendology theme is FORGIVENESS. Very timely with the Year 3’s making their Reconciliation this week. Forgiveness is important when putting out friendship fires and building healthy friendships.
