SBHS After School Program, held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in the SBHS Library. Students are encouraged to attend for many reasons, including getting help from a teacher, studying, doing homework, making up tests or quizzes, or simply having a quiet place to hang out. The program begins at 3:30 PM, with closures announced as needed. Snacks are provided, student drivers may leave at any time, and bus riders must stay until 5:15 PM. Best of all, the program is free of cost, making it a great resource for students seeking extra support or a productive after-school environment.

Meade School District students have an exciting opportunity to get involved, make a difference, and build their future with FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America). FCCLA is a project-based organization where students work together on service and leadership activities. From selling Italian sodas to raise money for charitable causes, to creating Christmas cards for veterans, to organizing food drives, the group makes a real impact in the community.

The first meeting of the year will take place on Wednesday, September 24, at 7:40 a.m. in Mrs. Van Zee’s room (131). Students are encouraged to come, learn more, and find out how they can get involved.

Joining FCCLA isn’t just fun and rewarding—it’s also a great way to build leadership skills, serve the community, and strengthen college applications. A Google Classroom link is available for quick sign-up, making it easy for students to get started.

Don’t miss out on this chance to connect with peers, give back to the community, and grow as a leader.
