BHS Athletics Update
Football:
- On Friday, October 24th, BHS' Varsity Football Team defeated Northwest Catholic, 16-14 in our Homecoming Game! Touchdowns for the Warhawks were scored by Zion Banton and Lamont Applewhite. With 50 second left in the game, Dakhai Powell blocked a field goal that would have won the game for Northwest Catholic, leading the Warhawks to victory!
- On Saturday, November 1st, BHS' Varsity Football defeated East Catholic, 44-8. This was the fifth win in a row for the team who is now 5-2 this season. Quarterback Cameron White rushed for two scores and threw for one touchdown and Running Back Romar Heron rushed for two touchdowns in the win. The Warhawks will take on Lewis Mills at 12:00 p.m. this Saturday at Lewis Mills.
Boys Cross Country:
- On Saturday, October 25th, BHS' Varsity Cross Country Team competed in the Class 'SS' XC Championship. The top finisher for the boys was Senior Vaughn Glanville.
How To Access Report Cards From Your PowerSchool Parent Portal Account
Report Cards for Quarter 1 are now available on your PowerSchool. Below are the instructions on how to access reports:
- Log into your PowerSchool Parent Portal Account (You must do this from a computer. Accessing PowerSchool on the app on your phone will not work.)
- On the left hand side you will see an icon for Student Reports, click this icon.
- Once in the Student Reports Screen, you should see a link titled, 2025 Q1 Report Card, click this link.
- Your child's Q1 Report Card should appear on the screen.
All reports will be accessible here for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. They are printable documents, if you would like to have it in hard copy. We will send out notification when new reports are posted throughout the school year.
BHS Band Students Receive Full Scholarships To The Hartt School at The University of Hartford
Three BHS Band students have been placed in the Hartt School of Music Community Division bands on full scholarships. After an audition and application, students were placed in their large groups are are getting ready for their first semester concert in December. Congratulations, Sophomore Ayzia May, Junior Ariel Mebane, and Senior Cassie Santana! This is an amazing accomplishment and we are all so very proud of you!

The New York HBCU College Fair
The New York HBCU College Fair will be held on November 15th at Denny Farrell Riverbank State Park. The event is from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and is free. This is a great event for anyone interested in attending an HBCU. For more information and to register for the event, please click on the button below.
