Thank you to everyone who came out last week to support Irving at the District 100 School Board Meeting. It meant a great deal to see so many familiar faces in the audience as we shared our Board Spotlight presentation. We are incredibly proud of our students, staff, and school community. A reminder that there will be no school next Monday in observance of Casimir Pulaski Day. We hope you enjoy the long weekend with your family.
March is Women’s History Month. Throughout the month, students will be learning about different eras in our country and exploring the history of women’s contributions through the stories of influential figures. Each week, classrooms will focus on a different time period and highlight women whose leadership, courage, innovation, and advocacy helped shape our nation. Below is a calendar outlining the topics that will be covered each week.
Finally, please don’t forget to complete the Illinois 5Essentials Survey. The survey is now open for parents and students. All 4th and 5th grade students will complete the survey at school with their classmates. We are asking for your help in reaching at least a 20% parent response rate. We carefully review this data each year, and it plays an important role in guiding our school improvement efforts and priorities.
