Welcome to Creek Life, the official school and community newsletter for Lower Richland High School. Our goal is to keep students, families, staff, and the community members informed and connected with everything happening at the Diamond Mine.

We Are Diamonds! Under Pressure. On Purpose!

On September 14th we will host our Fall Open House which is an opportunity for you to meet your child's teachers. We will also have a senior night presentation that is required for all parents of seniors in the Auditorium. We look forward to seeing you there. More details are forthcoming in the coming weeks.

We have several yearbooks left over from 1997-2021. If you are interested in purchasing a yearbook, please come to the designated table during home football games. All yearbooks are $20.

Class of 2027 students and parents: Are you interested in a career in education? The South Carolina Teaching Fellows Program provides selected high school seniors with up to $24,000 in fellowship funds—up to $6,000 per year for four years—while completing a degree that leads to initial teacher certification.

The scholarship application opens October 1, 2026, and is due December 1, 2026. Each year, up to 230 high school seniors are selected based on academic achievement, service to their school and community, work experience, and a desire to teach in South Carolina.

Need help with the application? Ms. Fobare is available to provide individual assistance and guidance to students interested in applying. If you are considering a career in education, please reach out to Ms. Fobare when the application opens so you can get started and submit your application before the deadline!
