Good Afternoon Parents and Guardians of Future Jaguars,
We are thrilled to welcome your 5th graders to Jones Middle School next year! To help ease the transition and assist with schedule selections, we have several important events planned in the coming weeks.
Next week, I will be visiting all 5th-grade campuses to meet with students and provide an overview of middle school life, including what classes and daily schedules look like. Additionally, we are excited to host our inaugural 6th Grade Expo Night on February 4th. This event will give your student the opportunity to:
- Explore our campus
- Enjoy performances by some of our outstanding fine arts groups
- Meet elective teachers and ask questions
- Shop for "Jag Swag" (t-shirts, hoodies, hats) provided by our PTO for the upcoming school year
We will also host several events throughout the spring, including sporting events and performances, which all families are welcome to attend. Feel free to check our website for details and updates. We look forward to making this incoming 6th-grade class our best yet! Additional information about course selection will be shared after my visits with 5th graders.
Upcoming Events:
- 1/29: Baker Elementary School – Mr. DeVito’s 5th-Grade Visit
- 1/30: Hughes Elementary School – Mr. DeVito’s 5th-Grade Visit
- 1/30: Reeves Elementary School – Mr. DeVito’s 5th-Grade Visit
- 2/4: Incoming 6th Grade Expo Night for Rising 5th Graders at Jones Middle School
