Keeping a Pulse on Student Life at WMHS! 2/20/2026
Welcome to Our Heartbeat Newsletter!
If you're new here—welcome! Every Friday, we send out our Heartbeat of the Wildcat newsletter to keep you informed and connected. Each edition includes highlights of what’s been happening around the school during the week, as well as important updates and upcoming events.
Stay tuned and thank you for being part of our Wildcat community!
Around the Halls
Five Seniors delivered speeches at the Rotary this week. The Rotary placed special emphasis on the Four-Way Test, challenging students to consider Leadership, Service, or Life Experiences through a lens of truth, fairness, goodwill, and benefits to all. Great work to Sidney, Bailey, Emily, Hailey, and Abby, in representing the Wildcat Way! Thanks to the Rotary, including President Erin Ellis, and Treasurer, Ken Butler, for giving our students this opportunity!
Students in Mrs. Vuyancihs’s English class completed a Gallery Walk to learn about some of the famous stunt performers at Niagara Falls. Next week we are writing argumentative essays about whether or not government should regulate these performances.
Students in Life Skills got hands-on experience during this week’s plumbing rotations, learning how to install and repair a faucet. These practical skills are building confidence and preparing them for real-world success!
Students in Advanced Consumer Science got creative with polymer clay, designing and crafting their own unique jewelry pieces!
A huge thank you to Dawn Paul from Ben Franklin 5 & 10 for visiting our classroom, sharing her expertise, and generously donating all of the materials so students could make as many pieces as they wanted.
It was a fun, hands-on way to explore thermoset polymer plastics while creating something beautiful to take home!
Wildcats from CCP Teaching Academy and Grant Career Centers Allied Health program spent the day in 3rd grade teaching students all about the Allied Health field!
Kids got the chance to learn how to record pulse, respirations and tape sprains. The goal? To spread career awareness and try new things! Check out these future medical providers in training.
