Principal's WeeklyUpdateJanuary 17th, 2025

A Message From Assistant Principal, Mrs. Enrique

Dear St. Mary’s Families,

This past week our Grade 2 through Grade 8 students diligently completed their Winter MAP Growth testing in the subject areas of Mathematics, Reading, and Language Usage. Results are shared with the faculty almost immediately, and we will be looking at the data in-depth during our professional learning community meetings and professional development sessions. Specifically next Friday, January 24th, 2025, teachers of students in Grades K2 through Grade 8 will work with Instructional Coach Samantha Curtis from Catapult, who will be facilitating professional development around data inquiry, looking at student work, and charting MAPs data. She will continue to work with faculty throughout the school year during coaching sessions: observing and debriefing with teachers on differentiated instruction to support and improve academic performance. This partnership was made possible through the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) FY24 State-Level Equitable Services Application for Eligible Private Schools Grant available via DESE, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, facilitated by Mary Goslin, Associate Superintendent of Government Programs for the Catholic Schools Office in the Archdiocese of Boston. Great work students on MAP testing and teachers on looking at student data to inform instruction! Next Friday we will also be welcoming our PreK-K1 families for Parent-Teacher Conferences and our Infant-Toddler families for Orientation.

Re-Enrollment for 2025-2026

It is that time of year again to complete your child's re-enrollment packet for next year. The early re-enrollment period for the 2025-2026 academic year began on January 13th and will end on January 27th. All families that re-enroll between January 13 and January 27 will be entered into a drawing to receive a $500 credit towards their 2025-2026 tuition. On January 31st, three families will be randomly selected to receive the tuition credit.

All families have until March 1st to complete the re-enrollment packet using the FACTS/SIS Family Portal. If the re-enrollment packet is not submitted by March 1st, your family's enrollment status will be considered withdrawn for the 2025-2026 academic year. If there are any extenuating circumstances regarding your family's decision to re-enroll, please make us aware as soon as you are able. If you have already informed us that your family will not be re-enrolling, we ask that you still log into the FACTS/SIS Family Portal and select the "Will Not Re-enroll" option.

If tuition affects your ability to re-enroll at St. Mary's, please contact Dr. Nadjarian and Gloria Reyes at cnadjarian@stmarys-brookline.org and greyes@stmarys-brookline.org.
