Student Schedules
Class schedules are available to view in the MyDSD app. We encourage students and families to review schedules before the start of school. Everyone should have received an email from our counselors with instructions on how to make a request for a class change if it's needed. To ensure all requests are handled fairly and consistently, we are unable to accept schedule change requests by email. Please look for the email from SJH Counselors and follow the instructions provided. Or you can click on the link below to be take to a form for the change request. If there are any questions, please feel free to contact the school.

Back-to-School - Dress Code & School Policies
As you prepare for back-to-school shopping, we appreciate your partnership in helping students come to school dressed for a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment. Before making your purchases, we encourage you to review our dress code and other school policies by clicking HERE.
Our school policies are designed to minimize distractions, promote safety, foster respect for one another, and help create an environment where every student can focus on learning and be successful.
Thank you for taking the time to review these expectations with your student before the school year begins. By working together, we can help ensure a positive and productive school experience for everyone. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact the school office.
LAPTOPS
Students at SJH will receive a school-supplied laptop. Those in 8th and 9th graders were allowed to keep those over the summer. All incoming 7th graders (and those new to the school and those who turned theirs in at the end of last school year) will be issued theirs before school starts or within the first couple days of school. The Davis School District offers the opportunity to purchase a Device Protection Plan. Enrollment in the plan is optional with the understanding that if students/parents DO NOT enroll in the protection plan, they may carry full liability for the laptop. The plan may be purchased through MyDSD app under "Optional fees and fines" and is listed as a Device Protection Plan. To be eligible, the plan must be purchased by September 4, 2026. The Protection Plan is only valid for the current school year. You will need to purchase it again even if you have purchased it in the past. Click HERE to view the DSD Discretionary Device Protection Plan for Electronic Devices.

Effective May 2025, Utah law requires schools to obtain written parent/guardian permission before providing students with foods, snacks, or drinks during school hours that contain certain food dyes, preservatives, or additives identified in state law (see Utah Code 53G-9-205.2). If you would like to give permission for your child to receive and consume foods, snacks, and drinks provided by the school during school hours, including items that do not meet the nutrition specifications established in Utah Code 53G-9-205, please sign the permission form found in your MyDSD account under "sign documents".
Picture Day
Students will have their pictures taken (for yearbook and school ID's) on Aug. 31st & Sept. 1st, during either English or Science class. Look for more information to come for this!
