Good Things

  • Shout out to Ms. Duncan and her leadership students for a terrific social on Thursday night!
  • Thanks to Mrs. Stephens, Dr. Mehlberg, Ms. Churchill, Ms. Garrels, Mr. Schilling, Mrs. Watsabaugh, Mrs. Lynch, and Mrs. Wishon for volunteering!
  • Thank you to our wonderful parent and community members for volunteering at the social!
  • Shout out to all of our staff for creating a place where kids feel safe and supported! I did my first listening tour session in Scott's Falcon Time on Friday and the message that resounded the most was how much they love their teachers and school!
  • Thanks to the staff Equity Team for a great kick off planning meeting on Friday morning!
  • Kudos to the Restorative Practices Cohort for completing the first two training modules and engaging in honest and inspiring conversation together! We are excited to share our learning with the greater Finn Hill community.
  • Shout out to JHS exchange student Keso Chkhikvadze (see photo below) for coming to FHMS to share about her home country of Georgia with Mrs. Bergstrom's seventh grade AVID class!

Lost and Found

Please encourage your student to check the lost and found. As you can see from the pictures below, it is overflowing. All unclaimed items will be donated on Friday, December 17.

Reminder: Middle School Attendance at High School Sporting Events

Juanita High School is always excited to welcome our future Raven families to our campus for athletic events. At all four comprehensive high schools in LWSD, however, students in elementary and middle school MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian who will actively supervise their student(s) at all times. As we start the winter sports season, we thank our future JHS families for understanding and supporting this.

Looking for ways to support those in need in our community?

  • Kirkland Nourishing Network is still raising funds to help cover grocery gift cards to distribute to families to help over Thanksgiving and Winter breaks. You can donate at Kirkland Nourishing Network – Helping Food Insecure Families with Food During Long School Breaks.
  • Finn Hill Giving Tree – Help support some of our FH Families by donating gift cards or shopping for specific items requested for the holidays. If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact Kirstin Doughty at kdoughty@lwsd.org.
