SSMS PTA Updates:

- Be sure to Like and Follow our Facebook and Instagram - we post information and updates daily, and weβll show up more often in your feed the more you react to the posts!
- The SSMS PTA is excited to open the call for volunteers for two departments that greatly help and influence our staff and students - Workroom Helpers and Hospitality! Please go to our LinkTree to sign up for Workroom Help or other volunteer opportunities!
- PTA Scholarships are open for faculty and seniors! Teachers can get up to $500 for continuing education and seniors can get up to $1,000 for higher ed. Go to txpta.org/scholarships for more info.
- Did you know SSMS PTA was awarded the designation of National PTA School of Excellence? We are proud of our community and are reapplying this year, and the first step is collecting your feedback! Please complete this quick survey by Friday, Nov. 8. This program opens the lines of communication and critical thinking within school communities to make data-driven decisions that yield positive, long-term results. The National PTA Baseline Survey consists of 20 questions to gauge perceptions of current family-school partnership trends. The results will be used to set a shared objective and identify recommendations for our school PTA to implement this 2024-25 school year.
- Did you know that a $34 donation per student would fund all SSMS PTA programs and expenses for the year? Our goal is to raise $35,000 by November 8th to support our students and staff throughout the year. This can be a One and Done fundraiser if we work TOGETHER: donate now to ensure we only need one fundraiser this year and every dollar goes to SSMS. Remember to take advantage of your companyβs matching grant program to double your impact! Thank you for your support - itβs tax deductible and your contribution makes a huge difference! Please Donate Here!
Halloweenie Chili and Hot Dog Bar - Donations & Volunteers Needed
We've got some scary good news: PTA's Halloweenie Hot Dog Bar and Chili Cookoff is next Friday on October 25th!
