I hope this newsletter finds you well and enjoying your summer!
I am so thrilled to join the Pierce family! I have enjoyed getting to know each one of you as we have had playground meet ups. I am looking forward to our beginning of school events so that I can assimilate into this fantastic community. For this school year, all "Panther Press" newsletters will be shared to your email each Friday. Please look for another newsletter before the start of the school year.

Birmingham Public Schools (BPS) and the Birmingham Education Association (BEA) have reached a tentative agreement on the key dates for the upcoming 2023-2024 academic year. The full calendar will be released upon the completion of the contract negotiations. As soon as we have the complete calendar, we will pass this along to our families.
There is an important change to the transportation plan for next year. Students will now need to pre-register for bus services. In order for students to access their regularly scheduled bus services, you will need to fill out the transportation questionnaire by August 18. If you do not input your information on this form, you will be not included in the transportation list in regards to getting a bus route. It is imperative that you fill out this form by August 18 in order to be included on a bus.
This pertains to those students who will qualify for transportation based on their address.
