AVA Family Update

Good morning AVA Students and Families,
I have next week's schedule, the guidance and community updates, and important dates below as usual. Please note the altered start times and period switches on MCAS days.
1. I just sent out another notice about Science MCAS next Tuesday and Wednesday for those that should attend.
2. Time grows short for students to complete their work for the year. We are closing all work submissions on Wednesday, June 12th. I emailed all students and families at academic risk earlier this week.
I have again included the transportation sign-ups that students must complete if they wish to participate in any busing next year again. If you have any intentions to be in-person next year, you need to complete it.

Next Year Courses for Returning AVA
Thank you to returning AVA students and families who have given feedback on what AVA courses they are interested in for next school year. ACT Exam - Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 Dates
The ACT has released its next year's testing adminitration dates and deadlines. Click HERE for more information and to register. Click HERE to find an ACT test location.
ACT Test Fee Waivers
Just like with the SATs, the ACT also offers fee waivers for qualifying students. Click HERE to learn eligbility criteria, and please email Ms Nellie (nng@attleboroschools.com) if you would like assistance in applying for the ACT fee waiver.
Financial Aid Workshop
AVA seniors, juniors, and families are invited to attend this free workshop that will take place in the College and Career Center (A141) on AHS campus. The anticipated date is Monday, June 17th from 4pm-7pm. Free dinner will be provided, and we plan to have financial aid experts and interpreters present to assist with FAFSA completion and any concerns regarding how to afford college. We will update again once details are confirmed.

24-25 Transportation Application Open! New this year, all eligible students, including Kindergarten and First grade, who wish to ride the bus to/from any of the Attleboro Public Schools MUST complete the Transportation Application to secure transportation. The only exception to this is for those with specialized transportation needs listed in an IEP.
