Gahanna Lincoln High School
2025-2026
A Message from Mrs. Williams
It’s hard to believe we’re already nearing the end of the first quarter, October 17 will be here before we know it! This is a great time for students to reflect, refocus, and finish strong.
Students can set themselves up for success by:
-
Checking grades and assignments in Google Classroom or Infinite Campus.
-
Communicating with teachers about any missing work or questions.
-
Using class time wisely and keeping up with daily attendance.
Families can help by:
-
Talking with your student about their goals for the quarter.
-
Encouraging consistent routines, especially around homework and bedtime.
-
Reaching out to teachers or counselors if your student needs support.
The end of the quarter is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate progress and make a plan for what’s next. Let’s keep the momentum going and finish strong.
Go Lions!

SchooLinks Spotlight
Financial Aid Help
Understanding college costs can feel overwhelming, but SchooLinks makes it easier to see the full picture! This week, we encourage families to explore the Financial Aid feature to compare what college might actually cost after aid and scholarships are applied. With this tool, they can:
-
Estimate expenses – see tuition, housing, and other costs side by side.
-
Compare offers – evaluate expected aid and scholarships across different schools.
-
Plan smart – make informed choices about the best financial fit.
Encourage your student to log in and start exploring their options. Knowing what to expect financially is an important step toward confident college planning!
If you or your student have questions along the way, don’t hesitate to reach out to their school counselor for support.
Cell Phone Policy Reminder
As a friendly reminder, our cell phone policy is designed to help students stay focused and engaged during the school day:
-
Phones may only be used during lunch, passing periods, and study hall.
-
During class time, phones must be stored away in a backpack or locker, not out or in use.
Looking ahead, the new Ohio cell phone law (which restricts phone use throughout the entire school day) will take effect January 1, 2026. We’ll transition to the new expectations at that time, coinciding with our move into the new building!
Students will still be permitted to wear smartwatches, as long as they aren’t being used as a substitute for a phone (pending final board policy).
Thank you for helping us reinforce these expectations and build a focused, respectful learning environment for all Lions!
