Cost of Amplify ELAR 6-8 for 2023-2024
As part of contingency planning for the disruptions of COVID, TEA acquired a temporary, statewide license for Amplify ELAR Texas 6-8, and it has been freely available for Texas schools as part of the state’s emergency response. The licenses expire September 2023 and TEA support will not be provided beyond that date.
A school system that chooses to continue using Amplify ELAR Texas 6-8 beyond September 2023 would be required to cover the license and print costs of the product locally and would need to coordinate directly with Amplify regarding pricing.
Purchase PhD Science Bundles without Non-consumables
The PhD Science curriculum is freely available in digital form. However, LEAs will need to purchase printed instructional materials and science kits to implement the curriculum with fidelity in the classroom.
If an LEA has remaining TCLAS 2A direct-grant funding or 2B direct-grant funding, Decision 2, Page 15 gives Grant Program Guidelines for acceptable use of those funds, which includes the purchase of TEA Available Instructional Materials. If an LEA is not part of TCLAS grant program, or does not have any remaining grant funds, they will need to use local funding to purchase materials directly from Great Minds.

Why high-quality instructional materials?
"A growing body of research shows that, in addition to the influence of teachers, curriculum has a significant effect on student learning. Quality curriculum is also a great tool for teachers: it saves them time and enables them to focus on interacting with their students. See what the research says about high-quality instructional materials, or HQIM." -Amplify Texas
