MusicAid Updates - Exchange Trip and Team Member Application
Team Member Applications are open!
We are excited to announce that our Team Member application has opened! Team members serve an important leadership position in MusicAid, working with our boardmembers to ensure the smooth running of our concerts and events at MusicAid. Volunteers, this is an excellent opportunity to join the MusicAid Leadership family and develop important skills in organization, communication, and leadership. We urge you to sign up if you want a meaningful leadership role to display your commitment to the community.
Attendance requirements will be enforced, and a comprehensive list of expectations will be provided upon acceptance. All individuals above 4th grade will be considered for acceptance.
Notably, seven of our MusicAid boardmembers are graduating in the 2026-2027 school year. Therefore, boardmember positions will open next year! Boardmembers are the highest level of leadership in MusicAid, and serving as one will require a large time commitment. Being a team member is a prerequisite and the first step for applying for boardmember. Therefore, if you are interested in becoming a MusicAid boardmember in the 2027-2028 school year, we would highly recommend applying for team member. More information on becoming a boardmember will be sent out next year!
If you intend to apply for team member, please submit your application before August 15th, 2026. All accepted individuals will be notified around the end of August.

Zhiyin Initiative: 2026 China–U.S. Youth Music & Cultural Exchange Camp
MusicAid is proud to have multiple members participating in the Zhiyin Initiative: 2026 China-U.S. Youth Music & Cultural Exchange Camp. This camp is organized by the US-China New Perspectives Foundation and gives 30 students the opportunity to travel to multiple cities in China for two weeks of music, cultural exchange, and fun.
Please note that MusicAid recommended all applicants who submitted their materials to us; the final selection was made by the organizing foundation, not by MusicAid.
Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted! Accepted students should have already been notified by email. We hope you enjoy your time in China! For those who were not accepted this year, there will be more opportunities in the future, and we encourage you to apply again.
June Concerts
This June, we hosted three concerts across Maryland. Unfortunately, a scheduling conflict arose for our final concert of the month at Raphael House, and so we decided to cancel June's last concert. Thank you to all the volunteers who signed up. We hope to see you in July!
Despite being short one concert, we had many volunteers give amazing performances this month! Whether it be violin, piano, singing, or any other instrument, we appreciate your commitment to musicianship and hope you continue to showcase your talent with MusicAid or elsewhere. The world is your stage.
In July, we are pleased to be hosting concerts once again in Virginia at the wonderful Vitality Living Arlington! We encourage volunteers near Virginia to sign up and display their talents! The concert will be on Sunday, July 19th, 10:30-11:30am. Be there or be square!
