Support The Giving Campaign!
Every donation makes a difference. Gifts of any size are welcome, and when more families participate, our school benefits even more. In past years, the the Giving Campaign has given more than $96,000 to our school. Even a small contribution can add up to significant support for our students. Our goal is to have 100% participation! Please consider making a donation today and helping us continue to bring valuable resources and opportunities to our students.

Falcon Hour—After School Tutoring
Tuesdays & Thursdays 3:45-4:45 PM in Room 45
Students...Want a quiet place to get work done before you go home? Need a little extra help to get organized or finish your homework?
A Message from Ms. Carlson
A reminder about Peer tutoring is available during Academy time. Students can schedule this through their Infinite Campus responsive scheduler (left side of the IC homescreen). I saw first hand there are about 6 juniors and seniors that can help with many subjects in room 24 at the PHS campus. Come by Ms Carlson’s office for more information.
Can you believe we are halfway done with semester 1!?
Two important progress reports are out in Infinite Campus:
PHS classes have their Progress 2 (Quarter1) report in Infinite Campus as of Friday 10/16.
MHS classes have their progress reports (3 week progress for marking period 2) in Infinite Campus as of Friday 10/16.
As we finish up the marking period in a few weeks:
- What is a short term goal you will try this week?
- Put it on a sticky note, post it to your desk, bathroom mirror.
- Short term goals- talk to someone new, ask for advice from someone, try a new study habit.
- For me… GOAL: Be present at lunchtime outside to say hello to you wonderful students!
Feeling overwhelmed and do not know where to start?
Advice from Mrs Carlson- Remember that tomorrow is a new day- new possibilities, new people to talk to, new chances. You just need one step forward to embrace these new opportunities. And if it does not work out… try again the next day!!
College visits are happening! Students need to get permission from their teacher at least 24 hours in advance of the visit in order to attend. For questions, contact Ms. Stefanie Manalo-LeClair, our College and Career Center Director. See upcoming visits below.

AP Exam Ordering Information
If your student is planning to take an AP exam this spring, please follow the two-step ordering process below. The early deadline for ordering exams is Friday, November 6th. Exams cost $130 which covers instructional materials, testing materials, proctors, and other costs. Orders placed between November 7th and March 1st, 2027 cost $170, which includes a $40 CollegeBoard imposed late fee. The final day to order is March 1, 2027.
STEP 1 - Your student should log-in to their College Board account and indicate which exams should be ordered. Instructions on how to do this can be found here. All students should have access to their teacher's AP course page. If you do not complete this step for each exam, an exam will not be ordered. If students have questions about this, they should contact their teacher.
STEP 2 - Log-in to the Infinite Campus School Store and purchase each exam your student plans to take.
It is the students responsibility to ensure BOTH Steps 1 and 2 are completed. Tests can only be ordered after both steps are completed. If you have questions on payment or ordering, please contact our registrar Darlene Low (dlow@piedmont.k12.ca.us).
Interested in taking an exam for a course we don't offer? - Please fill out the survey here. We may offer additional exams if enough students sign-up.

Control for Parents on School-Issued Chromebooks
All student Chromebooks include a web filter that works both at school and at home. It blocks inappropriate content and many non-educational websites, helping keep the Chromebook a safe, school-focused device. While no internet filter is perfect, it provides an important layer of protection whenever students use their school-issued Chromebook.
Want a little more control at home? The GoGuardian Parent App allows parents and guardians to view Chromebook browsing history, pause internet access after school hours, and block specific websites. These features apply only to the school-issued Chromebook.
Get Started
- Download the GoGuardian Parent App:
- Open the app and enter the email address you use with the school.
- Check your email for the verification link and tap “Verify your email.”
- If using another device for email, select “Login with verification code” and paste the code from your email.

We are committed to providing delicious, nourishing, and high-quality meals to fuel our students every day while keeping our Food Services program strong and sustainable. To help support this mission, we are introducing a few small updates to our cafeteria procedures, effective immediately.
Low Account Balances: During brunch and lunch, our team and volunteers will gently remind students if their cafeteria account balance is running low so families can plan ahead. Students with a low balance are still welcome to purchase à la carte items or request a second lunch.
Negative Account Balances: If an account balance becomes negative, à la carte purchases will be paused temporarily until the balance is updated. Please rest assured that every student will always receive a full, nourishing meal. The main daily entrée remains available to all students at no cost, along with unlimited access to our fresh, delicious salad bar and fruit.
We truly appreciate your partnership and support in keeping our meal programs thriving for every student. If you have any questions about your student’s balance or need assistance, please feel free to reach out to Nutrition Services!
