Monday, November 3 - New Marking Period Begins
The start of a new marking period is a great opportunity for a fresh start and a chance to set new goals. It’s a time to reflect on what worked well last term and what could be improved, whether it’s study habits, organization, or participation in class. With new assignments, projects, and lessons ahead, students can approach their work with renewed motivation and focus. Each marking period is a clean slate—an opportunity to grow, learn, and make progress both academically and personally.
Why Showing Up to School Every Day Matters
Regular attendance at school is essential for academic success and personal growth. When students attend school consistently, they stay engaged with lessons, build stronger relationships with teachers and classmates, and develop important habits like responsibility and time management. Being present every day helps students keep up with new material, participate in discussions, and stay connected to their learning community. Simply put, showing up is one of the most important steps toward achieving success in school and beyond.

We encourage both parents and students to read the student handbook carefully. It provides important information about school expectations, rules, and available resources, helping everyone understand their rights, responsibilities, and how to create a safe, respectful, and successful learning environment together.
