From the Desk of Principal Cherry

Welcome to the final month of school. This year has flown by and now with the nice weather, spring fever is definitely here! Students and staff have been busy with various learning activities, field trips and projects. We are excited to see how much the students have learned and matured throughout this year. We hope everyone has a fun filled and safe summer. We look forward to seeing many of you again next year, and for those who will not have students at West next year, we want to thank you for all of your support and allowing us to be a part of your child's education.

Drop off and Pick up

Please remember to be good neighbors and not use the adjoining neighborhood to cut through or pick up after school. While the parking lot is busy, please be patient and do not double park on Salt Creek (the street in from of West) Traffic needs to be able to move in both directions. Also, with the weather finally being nice, we have many students now riding bikes or scooters, so please drive carefully.

AVID SUMMITT

On April, West AVID students partnered up with North Junior High AVID students for an AVID summit. Students form both schools participated in a community service project, learned about the DTEC Center, and had student athletes from BSU share their experiences with them to name a few of the activities. This event allowed students to collaborate on future projects and ideas for the AVID program.

Thank you one again.

The last meeting for the year is Tuesday, May 2 at 6:00 in the library. All are welcome an we will be discussing the Freshman Farewell and elections for next year.
