Back to School Success! Back to School Success!

Principal with students

Our first two days were AMAZING!

We had such a great first two days of school. It was so fun to see all their smiling faces back in our school. We loved seeing so many parents joining our spirit line on the first day of school to help welcome our students back to school. A great big thank you to our PTA for helping to make that morning memorable for our students.

On our second day, every student participated in our Safe School and Belonging presentations where we reviewed our safe school policies and talked about how we can help each person in our school feel like they belong at Centerville Elementary.

Thank you to all the parents and grandparents who have volunteered time during our kindergarten lunch to help them learn the ropes of the lunchroom.

We look forward to another wonderful week of fun and learning!

2026-2027 School Theme

Our school theme this year is Experience the Magic! We are excited for students to learn that they are a part of the magic that happens here at Centerville Elementary School. Together we will work to develop qualities that make our school a place where students experience high levels of learning in a safe and inclusive environment. One way to do this is through our LETTERING Challenge.

We will focus on one character trait each month. Students will have the opportunity to complete the steps outlined in the LETTERING Challenge booklet that will be sent home the first week of school. Completing each step will help your student develop that trait. Each student who completes all the steps for the month will earn that month's letter, which will be printed on a star brag tag. We hope everyone will earn all the letters for the year-MAGIC.

There will also be a bonus letter, E for Excellence. Students will complete their own Excellence Project to earn this letter. You will want to start this project by second term. Information about this project will be in the LETTERING Challenge booklet so you can begin to think about ideas early. Seeing everyone's projects on display will be one of the highlights of our year!
