Capitol Hill Weekly Update
2/20/26
Showing Our Capitol Hill Pride 🌈🐟
You may start seeing purple Capitol Hill Elementary yard signs popping up around our neighborhood—and that’s no accident! Our PTA has created these signs as a way for families to show their school pride and help our community feel connected and welcoming.
As we begin to ramp up for kindergarten enrollment, these signs are a simple but powerful way to show families what makes attending their neighborhood school special. When families choose Capitol Hill, they’re choosing a place where children build friendships close to home, families connect with one another, and community grows beyond the school walls.
Yard signs are free and available for families to pick up at the School Dance on February 20 and at after school pick up on Monday, February 23. We can’t wait to see our neighborhood shine with Capitol Hill pride!
Lost & Found
Our Lost & Found is starting to fill up again. Come check it out before or after school! We will be packing it up for the clothing closet on Feb. 27 so make sure to come in before then.

We have some wonderful events coming up next week and this spring and we are looking for some volunteers to make these events happen.

Reading to your child, listening to a book together, reading a book and then watching the corresponding movie or even reading the same book that your older child is reading and discussing it are all ways you can help your student grow as a reader!! Keep up the great work!!
