A Special Message

Dear Park Street Families,

It is with deep gratitude and a heavy heart that I share that this will be my last year as your Principal. I will be moving on to a new opportunity in another district — and while I am excited for the road ahead, leaving this community is not something I take lightly.

Serving this community has been one of the greatest honors of my life. My journey has been special because I have had the unique privilege of seeing our school through two different lenses, first as your Assistant Principal and later as your Principal. I have had the privilege of seeing the construction and opening of our beautiful new school building.

Over the years, I have watched our students grow into remarkable young individuals, seen our teachers go above and beyond in their classrooms, and felt the unwavering support of our families. We have built something truly special at Park Street, and I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together.

As I reflect on our time together, I am reminded of a quote by the author of Winnie-the-Pooh, A.A. Milne: "How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard."

Please know that my focus for the remainder of the school year is to ensure that our students and staff continue to “Learn, Grow, and Thrive.” I am committed to working closely with the district and the incoming leader to ensure a smooth transition. I have total confidence that the next chapter will be even brighter.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your lives and for the trust you placed in me to lead this incredible school. I look forward to celebrating the rest of this year with all of you.

Estimadas familias de Park Street,

Con profunda gratitud y con tristeza, les informo que este será mi último año como su director. Tengo una nueva oportunidad en otro distrito y escolar que no quiero desaprovechar para mi avance profesional del cual estoy muy entusiasmado, pero igual, dejar esta comunidad no es algo que tome a la ligera.

Servir a esta comunidad ha sido uno de los honores más grandes de mi vida. Mi trayectoria ha sido especial porque he tenido el privilegio único de ver nuestra escuela a través de dos perspectivas diferentes: primero como su subdirector y, posteriormente, como su director. He tenido el privilegio de presenciar la construcción e inauguración de nuestro hermoso y nuevo edificio escolar.

A lo largo de los años, he visto a nuestros estudiantes convertirse en jóvenes extraordinarios, he visto a nuestros maestros dar lo mejor de sí en sus aulas y he sentido el apoyo incondicional de nuestras familias. Hemos construido algo verdaderamente especial en Park Street, y estoy increíblemente orgulloso de lo que hemos logrado juntos.

Al reflexionar sobre nuestro tiempo juntos, recuerdo una frase del autor de Winnie-the-Pooh, A.A. Milne: "Qué afortunado soy de tener algo que hace que decir adiós sea tan difícil".

Mi enfoque durante el resto del año escolar es asegurar que nuestros estudiantes y el personal continúen "Aprendiendo, Creciendo y Prosperando". Estoy comprometido a trabajar estrechamente con el distrito y el nuevo líder para asegurar una transición fluida. Tengo total confianza en que el próximo capítulo será aún mejor.
