What We Are Learning
Need to Know Below
Parent Information Night
Parent Information Night happened on September 12th. If you were unable to make it, we highly suggest reading through the slides linked below. This covers almost everything important in 2nd grade and Aldridge. Everything makes a little more sense after you hear the information 😄

Snack
Please be sure you are packing a snack every day for your Ocelot! We have the last lunch of the day (12:30pm) so they get pretty hungry without a filling snack during our snack time (9:30am). We do not have extra snacks or water bottles to provide at this time. We thank you for setting your Ocelot up for a successful day of learning!
Blue Cards
We use blue cards to communicate behavior to parents, all behaviors! In second grade, a blue card signature is used as a way to communicate to parents what their Ocelot needed some more practice with that day. We set clear expectations with the Aldridge Ocelot Expectations and believe in giving reminders. When those are not enough, we may sign the blue card so you know it is something to talk about at home. We ask that you reach out to your Ocelot's Teacher directly with questions about their specific method of providing warnings, blue cards and behavior management. It makes a huge difference when we are aligned as a team at school and home! We really do appreciate the opportunity to clarify and build our trust as a team for your children!
CogAT Information
On September 18-20, students in Grades 1,3, and 5 at Aldridge will take the Cognitive Abilities Test™ (CogAT®).
