Moseley Mustangs Newsletter
October 5
π¬ A Note from Dr. Kari Roan
Mustang Families:
Can you believe we're already approaching the end of the first quarter? Now is the perfect time to check in with your student about their progress and set fresh goals for Quarter 2.
Finish Strong: Take a look at grades this week and have an honest conversation about what's going well and where they might need support. Encourage students to set a goal to ask for help when they need it, to check our website for tutorial times, and to use Minga to see when their teachers are available for additional support.
Fresh Start for Quarter 2: Our counselors have shared some excellent AVID organization strategies (see attached graphic!) that can help students reset. Simple habits like using a daily planner, color-coding folders, and reviewing Google Classroom nightly make a real difference.
Remember to access the weekly agenda linked below to plan ahead. This routine builds the executive functioning skills they'll need throughout middle school and beyond.
Last but not least, our school dedication is THIS WEDNESDAY EVENING! This is a rare, special time in the life of a school featuring many of our students as we celebrate the life and legacy of the Moseley family. We hope to see you there!
Let's finish Quarter 1 strong and start Quarter 2 ready to RIDE!
