NO SCHOOL TOMORROW OR FRIDAY (3/19 & 3/20)
THE PRINCIPAL'S CORNER
Thank you, HCS Families!
What a fantastic night we had at our HCS PiE Family Fun Night! It was so wonderful to see our school community come together to laugh, connect, and celebrate.
From the creative and thoughtful raffle baskets to the excitement of the raffle drawings, the entire evening was filled with energy, generosity, and school spirit. Whether you came to win a basket, spend time with friends, or just enjoy being part of the HCS community, your presence made the night truly special.
And we canโt forget one of the highlights of the night - getting to spend time with Hero the Husky! ๐บIt was so much fun seeing students (and adults!) light up while visiting with our amazing mascot.
A huge thank you to all of our families who donated items, purchased tickets, and helped support PiE and HCS. Your contributions make a real difference for our school and our students. A special shout out and thank you to Alyssa Lasher for her amazing raffle baskets!
And of course, thank you for showing up. Nights like this are what make HCS such a special place.
We are so grateful to be part of this community!
Tim and Alexis

Next Meeting: Thursday, March 26 3:00 - 4:15pm
CVSD Central Office and via Zoom (Passcode: cvsd11)
Last May, the CVSD school board asked district administration to evaluate the current and potential future configuration of Hinesburg Community School (HCS) and Charlotte Central School (CCS)โa longstanding topic of conversation in the community.
The study committee is examining a wide variety of trends and data related to the schoolsโ current configuration and the impacts of moving grades 6-8 from HCS to CCS. Areas of consideration include student opportunity, transportation, enrollment, staffing, curricular and co-curricular offerings, facilities, and more.
The next public meeting where the committee will be working on this study will be held Thursday, March 26 at CVSD Central Office and via Zoom (Passcode: cvsd11).
The study committee will make a recommendation to the Board on May 19, 2026, regarding whether restructuring is advised. At a later meeting (to be scheduled), the school board will discuss the recommendation and take action.
