Join us for a PTO Meeting…… it’ll be great, we promise! Join us on Tuesday, November 11 at 9:15 a.m. in the Prairie Library. A special guest from the Barrington High School PTO will be joining us to spill the secrets of surviving (and thriving) during the big leap from Middle School to High School. Bring your questions and maybe your coffee!

We’ll also hear from the Neighborhood Boys and Girls Club about the great after-school programs happening right here at Prairie — perfect for keeping kids happy, busy, and maybe too tired to ask “What’s for dinner?” before 4 p.m. Please let us know if you can join us by RSVPing here. We will have your VIP guest pass ready to go!

Your outgrown spiritwear, that is. To school. No extra trip to the resale shop required!

The PTO has placed boxes inside the main and student activities entrances to collect your too-small or rarely worn spiritwear. They are hoping to pass along items your kids have outgrown to others who can give them a second life.

The plan is for the boxes to be there throughout the year, so send 'em in!

The Barrington Park District, organizes a variety of ski trips for grades 6 – 8. Whether you’re a black-diamond skier or just learning how to walk in those crazy boots, this is your opportunity to hit the slopes with your friends from middle school. Buses will take skiers to the slopes at various locations all around our area. Trips are held on Friday evenings from January 9 to February 13 (the trip on February 13 is an all-day trip). The Middle School Ski Club gives you a great way to learn a new and rewarding sport and make tons of new friends, too. This club is offered by the Barrington Park District. If you have questions, please contact them.

Register here for the mandatory parent/student information meetings held on November 13 and November 18. These meetings are held in person at the Barrington Park District. Registration is required for the meeting.
