Library Highlights with Miss Karen

  • With our Monarch nominee book We Are Definitely Human, we celebrated kindness by making Bookmarks to give away.
  • Then we read our new book Dragon Flower and started our unit on illustrators. We ended the month by exploring all the Caldecott Gold Medal books we have in our library and realized we have 49 of them. We did our own mock Caldecott voting and out of the ones we have, Jumanji was our school winner!
  • We also read our oldest winner from 1942, Make Way For Ducklings. The kids loved this one so much most kids clapped at the end!
