From the Principal
We’ve kicked off 2026 with some snow-filled memories! I hope our students were able to enjoy the winter weather; whether that meant getting outside to play in the snow or spending some cozy, relaxing time with family. As we look ahead to February, I’m excited for a return to a bit more normalcy.
This month, our middle school students will begin the Team Tressel Fitness Challenge. Each student will set personal fitness goals and spend time working toward achieving them. I encourage you to ask your student about the goals they’ve set! Please see the link below and the attached flyer for more information about the challenge.
If you feel a conference with any of your student’s teachers would be helpful, please contact the front office to schedule a time. Conference nights will be held on February 5th and February 10th.
As always, do not hesitate to reach out if your family needs anything. We appreciate your continued partnership and support.
-Mrs. McIntire
Please note that the schedule is subject to change. It’s a helpful resource for seeing which subjects your student should focus on studying each week.

Trojan GRIT is all about persevering through hard challenges and consistently showing Generosity, Respect, Integrity, and Thoughtfulness. Centerburg Middle School is committed to "Work in partnership with the family and community to provide positive learning experiences for all children in order to encourage high scholastic achievement and good citizenship." These core expectations guide our work with students, helping us clearly teach expectations and intervene early when students are not modeling Trojan GRIT.
During Trojan Time, students have been learning about these characteristics to ensure they are equipped to be successful citizens within the Centerburg community. As we move through the second semester, in addition to our typical lessons and interventions during Trojan Time, we will begin incorporating instruction on soft skills and increased career exploration. This will be especially helpful for our 8th-grade students as they prepare for scheduling season and begin making decisions about different educational pathways.
