Message from Mrs. Vissering
.
November is here and it has brought chilly weather with it. Now that the seasons are changing, please remind your child to dress for the weather - jackets, hats, gloves, scarves.
Students wait outside at the bus stop and at the school door until 7:55am, so dressing warm is important. Students also go out for recess for 15-20 minutes each day.
We are outside everyday unless it's raining or snowing. To determine whether it is too cold to be outside D62 uses the Child Care Weather Watch.
Classrooms can vary slightly in temperature, please be sure your child has a light sweater or dresses appropriately for cool weather. Students may not wear blankets, jackets, or slippers in class to stay warm.

Research shows that children who read at least twenty minutes a night most often perform on or above grade level in language arts. (International Literacy Council, 2013)
