December 2nd

Message from Mr. Karmazin, Principal
Week of December 2nd, 2024
Bears of Bryan Middle,
As the calendar turns to December, the Bears of Bryan Middle are entering the final stretch of an incredible semester! We hope everyone had a relaxing and refreshing Fall Break, returning recharged and ready to tackle the final few weeks of 2024.
This month is a critical time for our students as they focus on completing assignments, participating in projects, and preparing for end-of-semester assessments. Teachers and staff are here to provide the guidance and encouragement students need to succeed. We encourage all students to stay organized, ask questions, and give their best effort as they wrap up the semester. Families, your support is vital during this time, and we appreciate all you do to help our Bears thrive.
The last day of the semester is Tuesday, December 19. This is the perfect opportunity for students to reflect on their accomplishments and set goals for the new year. Winter break begins the following day, December 20, offering time to relax, celebrate the holidays, and spend quality time with loved ones.
We will welcome our Bears back to school on Monday, January 6, 2025, as we kick off a brand-new semester filled with opportunities for growth, learning, and success.
Thank you for your continued support of Bryan Middle and our amazing students. Let’s finish the semester strong and look forward to a bright start in January! Go Bears!
Andrew Karmazin, Principal

PTO Family BINGO Night
BMS BINGO night will be held Thursday, December 12th from 5:30-6:30PM. BINGO cards will cost $1 a piece, or you can purchase 6 cards for $5. Snacks will also be available for purchase and winners will receive prizes. Bring the whole family for some fun! We hope you can join us.
MAP Growth Testing
MAP Growth Testing is coming! MAP Growth is an adaptive achievement and growth test. It creates a personalized assessment experience by adapting to each student's learning level - precisely measuring progress and growth for each individual student. If your child correctly answers a MAP question, the computer assessment provides a harder question next. If they miss that same question, then an easier MAP question is asked. This includes essential information about your child's knowledge and readiness to learn. This winter, students will take the MAP Growth assessment in their College and Careers course.
December 9-12: Reading test
January 8-13: Math test
