A Message from Mrs. Whitaker

Hello Mustang Families,

It’s hard to believe we are already a quarter of the way through the school year! Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming a group of students from Endeavor Academy who volunteered their time as part of a service learning project. These students supported our classrooms, helped during lunch and recess, and assisted in the office. We are so grateful for their time, energy, and willingness to help. They brought some extra fun and excitement to our last day before break!

As we head into fall break, I want to wish all of our Trails West families a wonderful, relaxing, and safe week. I hope you have the opportunity to spend quality time together, recharge, and make some special memories. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday, October 19th!

Kind regards,

Kait Whitaker

YOU DID IT!

Congratulations to all of the students who earned "You Did Its" this week! We wanted to highlight these 5-

Zelda J- Mrs. Watson's Class- You stayed so focused so you could finish all of your work! That was helpful!

Romeo R- Mrs. Mele's Class- You sat quietly and focused without any reminders so that everyone could learn new math! That was kind and helpful!

Halle W- Ms. Whitling's Class- You saw a sad friend so you helped them go to an adult. That was kind!

Anthony H.- Mrs Mathis's Class- You used calm words and an I-message so you could problem solve. That was helpful and safe!

Marvin G- Mr. Weber's Class- You walked a kindergarten down the hall so they could get to class safely. That was helpful and kind!

STUDENT ILLNESSES

If your child is sent home from school, due to illnesses, they need to be symptom free for 24 hours before returning to school. We ask that you stick to this timeline in order to keep our students and our staff safe. If you have questions about symptoms, illnesses, or when your child can return to school, please contact our nurse, Mitzy, for more information.

Did You Know? Your PTO Dollars at Work!

Our Trails West PTO may be small but mighty, and together, we're making a big difference!

Thanks to the generosity of our families and community, PTO fundraising helps provide additional teacher assistants who support students during lunch and recess and school events and experiences that bring our Mustang community together.

These are resources and opportunities that go beyond what the regular school budget can provide.

Whether you donate, volunteer, participate in restaurant nights, or support our fundraisers, you're helping make Trails West an even better place for our students and staff.

Thank you for being part of our Mustang community!

A Note From Your Art Teacher Mr. Sage!

Art to Remember, order forms are coming home soon!

Keep an eye on your child’s backpack over the next few days. You’ll receive a personalized order form featuring the unique artwork your child created in art class.
Through Art to Remember, you can purchase custom keepsakes—like mugs, canvas totes, ornaments, and framed prints—printed with your child's masterpiece. These make great gifts for family and friends, and a portion of every purchase directly supports our school's art program.

  • What to look for: A personalized form with your student's artwork and access code.
  • How to order: Visit the website listed on the form to view the full product catalog and place your order online.

Thank you for supporting your young artist and our school!
