Welcome Back! Welcome Back!

It has been great to welcome all the families back to school. We have had a fantastic start to the school year and finished this week with a whole school pep rally. It was a pleasure to see all the students having a fun time celebrating with each other.

We have a few new faces in the school building, and some who are new to their positions. Morgan Peatrowsky has moved from the elementary school to the high school guidance position. Karl Lundquist is our new English teacher and he brings more than 25 years of experience to our building. Rochelle Uhing is our new music and band teacher, and she is working to grow our small, but mighty band. Haley Hrabanek is our new art teacher, and she is bringing her love for art and the Lord to class daily. Erica Eichelberger is our new high school administrative assistant, and we couldn’t be happier to have someone with her talents in our building. Please introduce yourself to them when you see them out and about.

As we go through the year, know that we are utilizing FACTS for communication to parents. This communication will be sent through the email parents have provided. If you have any questions, reach out to the office and we will do our best to help you.

I look forward to the opportunity to serve you as the principal this year, and I am grateful for the trust you have placed in our school to help your children grow in their spiritual and academic life.

Seniors: Be thinking about the next step! If you are visiting colleges, please let Mr. P know when and where. I would love to hear about your thoughts after the visit. "Apply to College Week" will be October 19-23, so try to have an idea in mind by then! **Please plan to be at the Nielsen Center Wednesday, August 26th at 6:30 pm for the Education Quest financial aid information session!**

See Flyer below for more information on the Cuming County College Night.

Juniors: You will be visiting UNL and the Newman Center (UNL campus) on October 27. More information will be available as that date nears. ACT testing dates and times will be announced as Mr. P hears of them. We will host a day in the Spring semester that ALL Juniors will test. That date is TBD. It is HIGHLY encouraged for Juniors to attend the Cuming County College Fair Wednesday, August 26 at 6-8 pm.

Sophomores: You will be taking a college visit to Wayne State and Northeast Community College this year. The date of that visit is TBD and will be during the Spring semester. Sophomores are welcome to begin preparation for the ACT through this school year. Mr. P will get them added to the school's ACT prep Canvas page.
