Prop S: Safe Schools for a Strong Future!
On Tuesday, April 7, 2026, residents of the Meramec Valley R-III School District will vote on a $43 million general obligation bond issue. The proposed measure will appear on ballots as Proposition S. If it’s approved by at least 57.14% of voters, approximately $38 million of the bond’s total would be used to construct a new energy-efficient middle school with a storm shelter to replace Pacific Intermediate.
MVR-III property taxpayers WOULD NOT see property tax rates increase because of an approved bond issue.
All families are welcome to our 3rd Annual Family Resource Night on March 12th at Doris Hoffman Early Learning Center. This event supports resources for families of children birth - 12th grade.
Boxes Needed by March 6th! 🍀
Nike Elementary has a fun activity coming up! Students will be listening to the book How to Catch a Leprechaun and then creating their very own leprechaun traps.
To make sure every student can participate, we are in need of boxes. If you happen to have any extra boxes at home, please send them to school with your student.
Please note: the leprechaun traps will not be coming home with students.
Thank you in advance for your support—we truly appreciate it! 💚

2026-2027 Kindergarten Enrollment
Do you have a child who will be ready for kindergarten in the 2026-27 school year? Kindergarten registration is now open.
Because you are an existing family within the district, this will be completed through your Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Watch this IC online registration video for a preview.
If you do not have your Infinite Campus Parent Portal set up, please contact the Nike Office by calling 636-271-1444 for assistance. You will be provided a KEY, which can be entered on this Infinite Campus-New User webpage to create your account.
To make the process as easy and efficient as possible for families, the district has streamlined registration so you can take care of several important tasks at the same time.
Through a single login in Infinite Campus, you can confirm information for all students in your household, which will complete your required Annual Update, register your child for kindergarten (if applicable), and enroll K–8 students in 2026 Summer Discovery.
Completing all three tasks at once saves time and eliminates the need to complete separate registrations.
Visit the Enrollment Info page on our website, call the Nike Office, or call Central Office at 636-271-1400 if you have any questions. Thank you for ensuring MVR-III has the latest information about your student(s)!
📣 NIKE SCOUTS—IT’S YEARBOOK TIME! 📣

Dental Safari Returning to Nike Elementary!
The MVRIII School District has partnered with Dental Safari, a mobile dental provider that brings dental care directly to students during the school day. They will be visiting Nike Elementary School on March 31, 2026.
Dental Safari offers a wide range of onsite services, including:
Comprehensive oral evaluations
Digital radiographs (X-rays)
Cleanings
Sealants
Fluoride treatments
In-class dental education
Onsite follow-up restorative care, if needed
Dental Safari focuses on providing care to children at school by bringing the dental office to the patient. Students are able to visit the dentist and return to class quickly, minimizing missed instructional time.
Parent consent is required for students to receive services.
If you would like your child to visit the dentist through Dental Safari, please click the link below to complete the consent form and enroll your student.
Parent Teacher Conferences
Parent/Teacher Conferences at Nike Elementary will be held on Monday, February 23, from 1:00–6:30 PM.
Your student’s teacher should have already contacted you regarding scheduling and availability. If you have not yet scheduled a conference, please reach out directly to your child’s teacher. You may also contact the school office at 636-271-1444, and we will be happy to connect you with the teacher.
To ensure that all families are accommodated, we strongly encourage scheduling an appointment in advance. Appointments will only be seen that evening.
We look forward to partnering with you to support your child’s success!
🧥 Don’t Forget the Lost & Found!
Our collection of misplaced items has grown quite a bit. While you are here for conferences, please take a moment to stop by the Lost & Found. We would love to see these items returned to their rightful owners!
2026-2027 Kindergarten Open House

AMI Learning
We want to ensure our students and families are fully prepared for the winter season ahead. Your student should have brought home an AMI (Alternate Methods of Instruction) packet.
What you need to know:
Keep it Safe: Please find a safe, designated spot for this packet at home or just leave it in the Thursday Folder!!!
When to Use It: These materials are only to be used in the event that school is cancelled AND the district declares an official "AMI Day."
Notification: If an AMI day is called, the district will notify you via our standard communication channels (text, email, Rooms & MVR3 App and social media).
Our goal is to ensure that learning can continue seamlessly, even when we can't be together in the classroom. Having these physical packets ready at home helps us avoid any technical hurdles during unexpected weather closures.
You can also find AMI information and assignments on the district's website, Parent Info | Meramec Valley R-III School District
Thank you for your partnership in keeping our students prepared and on track!
School Meal Info:
- Breakfast is FREE!
- Lunch is $3.30 per day. Students may purchase extra milk for $.75 per carton.
- How to pay for lunches: Money for your child's meal account can be deposited online or brought to school in an envelope with the student's name and grade.

Volunteer Opportunities
Would you like to volunteer or attend/chaperone a field trip with Nike Elementary? Volunteering helps create a positive community, makes school better, and increases student achievement.
If you plan to volunteer, attend field trips, or help at classroom parties, you will first need to complete the background check process. Two background checks are now required, and the process takes up to 10 days to complete.
We suggest families plan ahead and complete the process prior to the start of each school year. Volunteers should review the link below. Please contact the Nike Office at 636-271-1444 if you have any questions.
Be a WatchDOG! 🐾
A WatchDOG Dad (short for Dads of Great Students) is a father, grandfather, uncle, or other male role model who volunteers at a school to help create a positive and safe environment for students. The Watch D.O.G.S.® program is a national initiative that encourages men to get involved in schools by spending a day (or more) on campus helping with things like:
-
Greeting students as they arrive
-
Assisting in classrooms
-
Monitoring hallways, the cafeteria, or playground
-
Providing positive male role models
-
Promoting safety and school spirit
The goal of the program is to increase male involvement in education and strengthen the connection between families and schools.
We’re excited to welcome all parents, grandparents, and family members—men and women—to join as WatchDOG volunteers! You can help greet students, assist in classrooms, and make our school an even better place to learn. 💙 If you are interested in becoming a WatchDog, please use the link below sign up.
