Cole Manor's Mission & Vision
We strive to celebrate the diversity represented in our school and value what each student brings to Cole Manor each day from their unique backgrounds and experiences. This creates a rich, welcoming and vibrant learning community.
A Message from Dr. Poncheri
Dear Cole Manor Families,
I am thrilled to welcome you back to a new school year! Our first week of school was truly fantastic! Students dove right into learning, meeting new friends and enjoying the many activities planned by their teachers. It has been a pleasure this week seeing many of you at the school. I look forward to formally welcoming all families on Back to School Night scheduled for 9/18/25. Please see the invitation included in this newsletter. During the month of September our students will begin to dive into their math, reading and science programs while also taking local assessments to determine how we can best meet their learning needs. Families will receive information once assessments are complete. I encourage all families to reach out to me, the teacher or any member of our team for information, clarification or support with any aspect of our program. It is our goal to ensure your students have the best possible year and achieve to their highest levels. We are committed to this each and every day. Please read the remainder of this newsletter for important dates, upcoming events and information from your child's teacher.
Sincerely,
Dr. Poncheri

A Message from Mrs. Cleary, School Nurse
Hi, parents.
These are just some gentle reminders to help your students have a successful and healthy school year:
1. Please make sure your students are up to date on their vaccines. If a student is not, I have no choice but to keep them out of school until they receive the necessary vaccines. That is PA Health Law.
2. Please make sure your students are wearing their glasses to school if they have them prescribed. If your student has a school pair of glasses already here, in the health room, please remind them to come and pick them up every morning at the beginning of the school day.
3. Please remind your children to Wash, wash, and wash their hands (before eating, after using the restroom, and when they get dirty). This really makes a HUGE difference in decreasing the amount of students getting sick in school. Have your student practice washing hands by singing the alphabet song. A minimum time of 20 minutes of handwashing is considered to be effective.
4. Please consider having your student vaccinated against the Flu, COVID, and RSV, especially if they are at a higher risk for these infections (chronic diseases like asthma, heart conditions, kidney conditions or immunocompromised). That also makes a HUGE difference in keeping students healthy. Please speak to your children's primary care provider to discuss the benefits and risks of these vaccines.
Thank you. I look forward to working with you and your students this year.
Ready to learn in Grade 1 Mrs. Vail!
